I caught this train this morning from Portlaoise and it didn't arrive in Portlaoise until 11:45.

We got into dublin at 12:40 but it took another few minutes before they could let us out because of an electrical fault that caused the doors not to open.

This means I am going to have to catch the 9:10 train to be in work for half 12ish!

Goodbye lie in!

It wasn't there yesterday morning

Monday was yesterday and aren't we to get 4 weeks notice of disruption

Remember this section of this forum has consistently provided more accuarate and more timely info than IE themselves

Why can't they give a list now of how long it is going on for instead of doing it on a week by week basis?

Thats probably because they have become conditioned to the ineptitude of IE management.

Why don't they have things like this under the travel alerts section on not under general news. Surely it is something that intending travellers should be aware of as opposed to something someone looking for news about Irish rail would be interested in. It bugs me. rant over.

These works have been going on for at least 4 months, and possibly 6. Day in, day out. Very slow: what can they be doing? You don't see anything like it on other railway systems.

Still going on it seems and typical for IE it goes up at 5pm less than 3 days before it happens, still having issues with November spelling it seems

They must have headed to the pub early since we get it wow an hour earlier than normal, surely we are entitled to 8 weeks notice?

Good to see IE still can't proof read stuff on their website, Monday Tuesday well what is it and November has a r in it last time I checked

This will continue for at least another month, I know that maybe IE can tell us that online
