[6-12-2006] Enterprise and Northern line
The 8am Belfast Dublin has failed at Howth Junction, locomotive may have died but they can't move it since the brakes have also gone wallop
No report on IE site, the 9:30 ex Drogheda commuter is stuck in Malahide as a result Remember 25% refunds apply after 30 minutes, 50% after 1 hour and 100% after 90 minutes on enterprise Quote:
Note also 11:00 am Dublin Belfast is now also delayed as a result, awaiting update Last edited by Mark Gleeson : 06-12-2006 at 11:02. |

Can confirm it was the same trainset and locomotive (9003 + 218) as the one which failed not once but twice yesterday with brake faults
No word on the 11:00 Dublin Belfast yet Last edited by Mark Gleeson : 06-12-2006 at 11:30. |

Looking at Translink's website this mornong, I saw a notice dated Tuesday Dec 5th which stated that the Dublin-Belfast line would be closed for engineering works on Saturday 16th and Subday 17th December. Bus substitution between Newry and Dundalk.
Any bets on when IE will have anything on their website? Maybe if they see complaints here they might be shamed into it. But it would have been interesting to with-hold all comments and to see just how late they give notice. Maybe the engineering people in IE have not told anyone else in the company what they plan to do on hte 16th and 17th. Whatever the reason it is a symptom of a deeply dysfunctional outfit. |
