I see that the RTE link in the first post also mentioned that passengers on the 1799 Heuston-Cork got a surprise when the train failed to stop at Mallow. Given that all down trains are scheduled to call at Mallow, this is truly amazing

There will always be one or two who want a constant announcement and moan for no reason. If you ask me it was the communication for the 17.45 was a bigger issue. CSO to date are generally a waste of money. Limited visibility, repeating the automated PA, not checking tickets. I don’t for a minute think communication would be better in this case. |
