Default [12-2-2009] Sligo Line

We have had bridge strikes before but this?

Quote:
Sligo line delays due to vessel hitting bridge by Corporate Communications

UPDATE: 18.30hrs, Thursday 12th February

Some Sligo line services are delayed by up to 90 minutes, following an earlier incident in which a barge carrying a crane struck Drumsna Bridge over the River Shannon near Carrick-on-Shannon. The bridge has now been inspected and rail services are operating again.

However, customers on 15.05hrs Connolly to Sligo and 17.00hrs Sligo to Connolly were transferred by bus during the suspension of services and will be delayed as a result.

There will also be some delays to the 16.00hrs Connolly to Sligo.

Iarnród Éireann apologises for the inconvenience caused.
This wouldn't be the crane Irish Rail have hired in to replace the bridge would it ?
