Default 4-11-2006 Another day another mess

So the 11:00am Dublin Cork, set 4001

Left 12 minutes late, reason given at 11:04 was need to perform a safety function, they had 40+ minutes to do that

Train made up time and arrived Thurles 2 minutes down and we did actually make 100mph, seat res worked, pa was correct but the maps where not working correctly. Ride was better than in the past but still poor

So to the 7:30pm Cork Dublin, set 4002

This was mean't to be a Mk3 so seat reservations didn't work

Train left Thurles 7 minutes down arrived 9 minutes early (note this trend). Seat res totally failed, pa was correct but the maps where not working correctly. Ride was noticeably better than in the past borderline ok.

The fun while waiting I spoke to two other passengers the usual its late and seat reservations won't work. So ready to march down to coach A, a Mk4 appears in the distance I knew seat reservations where not working, so the 3 intepid travellers having seats in coach A followed me and boarded coach A the first class coach, looked a bit goofy and asked the train manager

We went first class to Dublin and reclining seats and in seat audio oh yes almost makes up for it

Oh and the seat reservations failed on the 9am Dublin Cork as well and it left 15 minutes late no reason given. The 7pm Dublin Cork (4001) was a good 12 minutes late leaving Thurles.

On the 4th Nov, on the Maynooth Line, the 1015 Maynooth Pearse was cancelled for no reason.
