Default [14-1-2006] Ballina and Westport

There was an incident on the Ballina Manulla Junction section where a stolen car was placed an a unmanned level crossing near Foxford.

The train (morning Ballina Manulla junc service) struck the car, thankfully there was only minor damage to the locomotive. A bus was provided to complete the journey

It is not known when the car was dumped on the line as the train involved was the first service of the day to travel the line
