Default CAF Intercity (CDE/MK4) problems?

What exactly is going on with the CAF Intercity CDE/MK4 train sets on the Cork-Dublin line?

There was a post in another part of the forum about safety and technical issues.

Just curious!

We are awaiting further information, what we do know is the RSC have found the procedures in the wheel shop in Inchicore to be lacking in some areas

What we know is since October over half the wheels on the Mk4 fleet have had to be replaced. These are the original CAF supplied wheels. Obviously they wore out way faster than they should have

We don't know if its the old or new wheels where the problem lies
