I'm guessing train drivers have joined the bus eireann strike

Due to Bus Eireann secondary picketing of a number of locations, there are cancellations across DART, Commuter and Intercity services.



05.55hrs Friday 31st March

Iarnród Éireann advises customers that due to secondary picketing associated with the Bus Éireann dispute at a number of locations, extensive disruption can be expected to rail services at present.

FHowever, we cannot guarantee any services across DART and Dublin Commuter services, and cancellations on Intercity routes are also expected. We will also update Twitter with the latest information.

We apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused.

Current service arrangements

DART - Extremely limited service - All DART services currently cancelled except 05.40 Bray to Malahide, 06.00 Greystones to Malahide, and 07.00 & 07.30 Malahide to Bray

Maynooth - All Maynooth/M3 services cancelled.

Drogheda - Services from Drogheda/Dundalk to Dublin currently operating. No services from Dublin to Drogheda/Dundalk

Portlaoise/Kildare - All services cancelled except 05.55hrs Heuston to Kildare and 06.35 Kildare to Heuston.

Athlone/Dublin commuter - cancelled

Sligo/Longford - 05.40 and 06.15 Longford to Dublin cancelled. 05.45 Sligo to Connolly is operating. Limited Sligo/Dublin service expected.

Cork commuter - all services cancelled

Cork/Dublin - all services cancelled

Tralee to Mallow/Cork/Dublin - all services cancelled

Limerick/Dublin - 05.40 Limerick/Dublin is operating. Awaiting confirmation on other services.

Limerick/Galway - services from Galway to Limerick are operating. Awaiting confirmation on Galway to Limerick

Westport/Dublin - all services cancelled

Waterford/Dublin Heuston - limited service expected. 06.00, 07.10, 07.50 Waterford to Heuston expected to operate. No services from Heuston at present.

Galway/Heuston - limited service expected. 05.30 Galway to Heuston is operating.

Rosslare/Gorey/Dublin Connolly - limited service operating. 05.35 Rosslare Europort to Dublin and 05.55 Gorey to Dublin is running

Belfast/Dublin Connolly - limited service operating. 06.30 Newry to Connolly, 06.45 and 08.00 Belfast to Connolly are running. 07.35 and 09.35 Connolly to Belfast cancelled.

Waterford/Limerick Junction - services are operating from Waterford. Awaiting confirmation from Limerick Junction.

Limerick/Nenagh via Ballybrophy - awaiting confirmation

This is secondary picketing, obviously need a court to rule on this

If its secondary picketing and not covered by the exemption (the other party is assisting the party in dispute) then, well I wouldn't want to be standing out there as it opens a huge liability

Demot O'Leary of NBRU very clear on RTE radio this morning.

This action was not taken by the union. Persons involved to stop and return to work

Twitter reporting picket at Clontarf Rd persons holding handwritten signs, photos from Limerick showing persons holding handwritten signs outside on one side of station, printed signs other

It sounds like a few busses got out of depots before the pickets were placed. Similarly the odd train got away first thing - the 0545 from Sligo went.

Only a fraction operating http://www.dublinbus.ie/News-Centre/...iday-31-March/ full service would be 850-900 ish buses on the road
