Translink £10 day return beginning to bite
Due to a bad IE service to dundalk between 15.00 and 18.00, I've had to start getting the 15.20 enterprise service (I can never guarantee the 16.50 will be in dundalk on time to collect my daughter)
over the last few weeks I've noticed this train gets busier and busier, and this week its been particularly bad. From what i can see and from tickets It seems to be down to the £10 return that Translink are running.. Talk about rubbing it in to Dundalk passengers. I note the IE monopoly on the northern line don't do similar promotions |

Problems
I think the 16.10 belfast-Connolly service failed about 100 metres south of Skerries. Was still there at 18.40. Not sure if passengers had disembarqued.
the displays at Skerries indicated all southbound Northern suburban services are delayed, although nothing on the IE or Translink website. However, buried in the BETA arrivals into Connolly, Drogheda service due in @ 18.30, ETA 19.38, Balbriggan service due in @ 18.46, ETA 19.58, Drogheda service due in 18.57, ETA 19.59. The 20.15 arrival from Belfast is due 20.10 ??? (note: it's 30 mins out of date, so not sure whats going on there) The 201 engine is still screaming away (20.00), so might be a brake problem.
