Thumbs down Platform clearance

07/12 06.10 from Waterford

Another 10 minute delay for 'platform clearance' this morning. We were left on the left line coming in to Heuston, waited for 10 minutes until the Cork train pulled in beside us on the middle line, then we pulled into the station with platforms 3, 4, 5 ,and 6 all empty, I'm baffled with IE.
Asked them at the desk for an explanation and just got a rude snarl from 'customer relations' person, if someone in my company spoke to a customer they way they do, they would be reprimanded on the spot.

Just so tired of being bullied and robbed by this third world rail company.

If you arrive in on the extreme left track when facing Heuston you can only access platforms 10, 8, 7, 6, 5 and 4, a train leaving 8, 7 or 6 blocks anyone heading into those platforms

Likewise the right track can only access 1, 2 ,3, 4 and 5

Only Cork trains are deemed worthy of platform 5 and have spent ages waiting for a platform in a otherwise empty station

I'm sure the customer service person had no namebadge, seems to be a choice to prevent later identification. You are advised to always get the name of the member of staff and if they refuse ask for there supervisor its the only way to shake things up that said some of the management team have been known to be even worse than the front line staff so you have been warned, no one has any faith in the complaints process so best deal with it at source

Since you are a Waterford passenger you want the Northern and Eastern office in Connolly
