Default [30-8-2009] 13:30 maynooth pearse

First time i got an early train on a GAA matchday in a while.

When i got to clonsilla it was busy, full of kerry and meath supporters. When the train arrived it was already packed. I was unable to board the first 3 carriages so i moved down to the fourth and got on with a bit of room.

More and more passengers got on. Suprisingly about 100-150 passengers at phoenix park station.

On arriving at drumcondra station, the usual setup massive queues to get out and crowd control. The train waited for two minutes but as the doors closed the queues of people waiting to exit the platform was still back to the fifth or sixth carriage!

All and all good to see people use this option to get to croke park, its a pity iarnrod eireann dont advertise it a bit more.

The only downside is the next train was an hour later. Given there was a match kicking off at 15:15ish i am sure people would be using the later train option.
