Default Intercity Food / Catering experience

I was on a train from Cork - Dublin on Friday (19:30 hrs served by a MK3 set) The catering trolley was selling Apple Danishes with green mould on them! Either they're not storing the food correctly i.e. in a chilled area or they're letting things go past their sell-by date.

Either way, IE need to seriously improve their catering standards. It just doesn't look good and it would put me off eating on-board an older intercity train again!

Anyone had similar experiences?

You should have bought the Danish as evidence and photograph it, the one things that gets IE's back up is proof we all know but proving it is impossible unless we have that photo

We are going to start getting nasty, so take the 10 minutes to write it all down and send it to Irish Rail, we are going to start playing hard ball, you are entitled to a response within 14 days, chances are you will never here a word but again we can prove Irish Rail are a useless bunch of wasters when it comes to dealing with customer service issues

It might be a good idea to CC your letter to the health and safety authority, or maybe informally ring them to give them a tip off.

Default No Food

What about a lunch time train running out of sandwiches and soft drinks only half way across the country?
