Special late night services after Westlife concerts this summer

The eagerly awaited Westlife farewell concerts take place this summer in Croke Park and extra late night services will be provided after each concert to Cork, Galway and Limerick.

Westlife in Croke Park - Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd June

Cork/ Limerick

After each concert a train will depart Dublin Heuston at 00:40hrs for Cork and Limerick (customers travelling to Limerick should change at Limerick Junction).

Galway

After each concert a train will depart Dublin Heuston at 00:50hrs for Galway.

Customers can avail of special daysaver fares by booking early. Customers are advised to book early to avoid disappointment as there is limited availability on the return services.

Are we a fan?

I've had the classic

"No extra trains, last train is 23:30......"

Curious how I was wedged into a DART at 00:15 on my way home that night

An extra service departing Cork at 10,00 has being added for 22 June serving Mallow, Charleville, Limerick J (no Limerick connection) and arriving in Heuston at 12.45. Extra capacity has being added to the 13.00 on both Friday and Saturday from waterford with limited number of seats left on the 07.40 both days. Still don't understand why there is no return after the concerts as there clearly is demand there.

An extra service to Waterford on Sunday has being added serving Athy, Carlow and Waterford. Departs Heuston at 13.40 and arrives Waterford at 15.43. Have to have an online reservation to board the service.

I understand there is also a 1045 special from Limerick to Heuston on both the 22nd and 23rd.

There was a 10.55 on Friday and 10.40 on Saturday between Galway-Heuston as a relief for 11.05 from Galway both were operated by a 2800.

There was a 09.20 on Friday and Saturday as a relief for the 07.15 from Westport and 13.15 (6 car) from Westport was so overcrowed some passengers had to be bused to Dublin and according to IRN its not the first time that Westport passengers have had to take buses because of lack of capacity.
