Given that IE managed to miss an over inflated suspension airbag in a 29000 for 2 days in service, might be a similar issue with that unit.

I hear on boards the 0725 Portlaoise is a 3-car now. I guess the net-up of 22s went to sub out 2800s for Limerick regional services. I had thought one might have been where they got the Nenagh direct train from.

2600's for Limerick, not 2800's

The 0725 from Portlaoise was a six-piece set this morning.

Bloody hell - you wait and wait and four come at once. Some kind of showstopper bug fixed?

I noticed that. Hopefully this is the start of something.

Probably the showstopper bug was extracting a cheque out of the Department of Finance.

Does this mean all Sligo trains are 22000 now?

They seemed have sorted out the 0905 to Sligo as this has consistently been a 22k over the last couple of weeks when I have seen it. I was on the 1505 to Sligo on Monday and it was an 8 car 29k.

We had another false dawn on the 1805 to Longford last week. We had 22ks last week but are back to 29ks this week. This particularly sticks in your craw when you pass a 22k going to Docklands with about 10 passengers on it.

8x28s were apparently withdrawn this week from Connolly ops with 22s going the other way. Presumably a full reshuffle of diagrams is awaiting the other 6 leaving too.

With CCTV at front, sides and back of the ICR will IR take cases aginst people on the rail lines and get them fined for trespassing. Just wondering as there was a serious incident near Thomastown this evening.

The law on the books is one thing, likelihood of conviction another and likelihood of a decent penalty assessed something else again.
