Default Rush and Lusk Station- more parking

was heading into the station this evening. Saw several planning notices about carparking. IE currently are building a new carpark beside Killane's furniture place. I'd say about 30 places.
The planning notice says 187 more places and 12handicapped parking places. The guy in the ticket office said they're knocking all the houses in the west of the station and the station grounds for this planning application. and there's more spaces to come immediately south of the Rush carpark but the sale hasn't gone through because the farmer can't find the deeds for the land. We were talking about this in the pub and a buddy pointed out that the farmer would hardly be holding out for more cash in the current property climate.

So something like 300 new carparking spots at Rush & Lusk in the next year seems on. which is nice ... now I don't get the train any more....

When i passed through the station today at about 8 o'clock it was closed. The station was actually closed, and yet the information board claimed there was a train in half an hour. How can a train arrive when no one can get on to the foot bridge or out of the station? I know it was a sunday but even 5 or so people between 8 and midnight might actually be comming from the north and not the south.

There's a night gate at the foot of the bridge on the east platform ( Dublin bound) that is opened when the station is closed (usually)
