![]() As for Luas, its planned stop will be adjacent to the Interconnector/spencer dock stop on the Mayor street extension. The current "temporary" station site was a closely guarded secret within the mafia that is CIE/IE/Treasury Holdings. Not much we can do, when IE don't want to engage with us...unlike the RPA, despite our criticism of them. Sorry you feel that we let people down. But you know, this is a funny game and I personally never give up. Big shocks for IE are ahead. We won't go away and we believe that there are many ways to skin a cat. ![]() |

![]() 2) The square at Spencer Dock is designed to allow for a stop to fit as has the traffic plan of the area, there is a bridge at the Mayor Street/Guild Street over the canal which was road traffic on its outer lanes
this satisfies me. As regards only bringing criticism, well sorry but critisysing is healthy and good. no apologies! ![]() |

![]() I have to say for myself that some of the bottom line stuff [ e.g. the secrecy surrounding the Spencer Dock ] has opened my eyes. Are they not subject to FOI requests ?

![]() FOI doesn't apply if you claim commerical sensitivity, treasury holdings being a private company, the terms of agreement are confidential

![]() there'll be loads to talk about at the upcoming agm, not really suitable for the board. Come along WPS, there have been great fun and games down docklands and not all of it relates to rail!!
Seriously, P11, Mark and Derek in particular put an awfull lot of time into what they are doing, and they could easily walk away from it tomorrow. For me, i have a few ideas here and there and try to throw a bit of a laugh onto the board but i really dont have the time for much more. There is more on the way, as we can see in the members section, and i hope that you bear that in mind when throwing asparagus at P11 in particular and the committee in general by what you've posted above. |

![]() You don't have to go to Paris or Tokyo to find cross-platform interchange. As far as I know the term was coined by the London Underground, and can be found in quite a few stations. It's not even limited to new stations. I have an excellent diagram somewhere showing how they rerouted tunnels at Oxford Circus in the 1980s to make the northbound platform of the Bakerloo line into the southbound platofrm of the Victoria line, enabling cross platform interchange. I'll see if I can locate it later.
It would be fantastic if this could be done at Stephen's Green, but it's not really possible as the lines will be at right angles. One place it might be viable is Liffey Junction, though it would mean putting in an extra overbridge to allow the southbound Luas to come from a platform ajacent to the eastbound DART. I think Luas/Metro integration that consists on steps down to the ticket lobby as close to the platform as possible would be quite acceptable. At the O'Connell St interchange, I'd like to see enterences to the underground ticket lobby on both Abbey St ajacent to the Red line platforms and O'Connell St, next to the green line platforms. |

![]() Wasn't it Wilde who said 'I wrote you a long letter because I didn't have time to write you a short letter' ?
Well done it is open enough for BK to explain his position and a long letter from him won't work. |
