Some strange 'inaccuracies' but then it was done by IE.

Its kinda silly really that both Suburban and Intercity lines are shown. 'C' and 'IC' symbols should be used to indicate the integration. The map would be clearer then.

So, IE choose 'M' and 'L' for Metro and Luas respectively. Safe to presume then that 'D' for DART and 'B' for Bus can join 'C' and 'IC' as standard symbols for our modes?

I wonder what the RPA think about it?
At the moment the Lucan-Luas line is all over the place. Looks more and more likely that the RPA have shied away from Ballyfermot and are opting for the Nangor route option via Parkwest. Why it shows the line joining at Rialto i'll never know..

Interesting. None of the in-between stations are filled in on the proposed Luas and Metro lines. Citywest Luas extension is connected to the Tallaght line with an interchange, suggesting it is a standalone entity. Metro North interchange still at Glasnevin.

I presume this is an IE map, given the lack of detail on RPA projects, and the similarity to the expanded DART map.

Thumbs up Luas Cherrywood to Fassaroe or Bray?

On public consultation - may be of interest to Platform 11 members and steel wheel users!

Final draft North Bray and Environs LUTS (landuse and transportation study) for Bray Town Council, Dun Laothaire Co Co and Wicklow Co Co undertaken by Faber Maunsell has made a number of suggestions that according to this strategy will be incorporated by Bray Town, Wicklow Co Co and Dun Laorhaire Co Co Devt Plans. The study is now available on the Latest News section of www.dlrcoco.ie and bray town council website.

It differs slightly from from the map proposed by IE above. It is suggesting that the Luas line B2 (Cherrywood to Bray) will travel directly from Cherrywood to Fassaroe (not to Woodbrook) and will terminate at Fassaroe (west of the N11 and of Bray, Bray is located to the east of the N11/M11) and a BRT (bus rapid transit) with a dedicated busway (significantly better than a bus lane for those who have used them abroad) to link Fassaroe directly with frequent bus on dedicated busway to Bray Dart station. Fassaroe has its own interchange onto the N11 (just before the start of the M11) and is proposed to have a major park and ride with c. 500 spaces to attract commuters from the dual carriageway onto the Luas. A new Dart station is proposed at Woodbrook(Shanganagh).

As stated on the plan, the RPA will also have to do public consultation on a preferred luas route alignment but this is the current preferred scenario from the point of view of the 3 local authorities in the Bray area. This is the final draft so public consulation will be undertaken prior to its final adoption I assume.

I have already discussed the Cherrywood to Bray issue with the RPA in way too much detail

Public consultation will kick off shortly in fact the flyers have been printed I'm told

This issue is more suited to the members section of the board

The IE map is indicative only, there is another version without any Luas or Metro lines shown, I was surprised IE even created the combined map
