Cork-Galway: ticket pricing gone mad
Decided that I would support the much maligned Western corridor only to find that I would havte to pay €68 return plus booking fees
Crazy stuff for the distance involved - and the quickest journey (12.30 Cork/Dub change Lim Jct on to train to Limerick that goes on to Galway) is still longer than driving I am a train buff but think this is extortionate for a line lacking passengers (and I'd be utilising an empty seat on Cork Dub that would only be occupied at the Junction by a transferring Lim/Dub passenger) |

h problem is if they used common sense and reduced the price they couldnt use the lack of passengers as an excuses to close the line eventually
one day they will manage to close all the non dublin lines Irish "DUBLIN" Rail |

You may get a better deal by buying separate tickets.

if you mean two singles - they are €57 each !
if you mean two seperate returns (Cork/Lim & Lim/Gal) - impossible to book a Lim/Gal train online ! shocking is the only word to describe it - especially as we head into a tourist season that should provide extra passengers |
