I think not only on Sligo line, on 8.00 ex Cork was the same.
Probably catering company tries to increase sales and this is kind of marketing. But some products are getting more expensive. For example, sandwiches were 4.95, now 4.99, full breakfast was 9.95, now 12.99, however tea or coffee included in price this time. |

What kind of stuff did they have on offer? Because for whats on most (all?) Sligo services - trolley vending - isn't worth printing a menu for.

From trolley you can get tea, coffee, sandwiches, muffins, biscuits, pastries etc.
But as far I remember there were chiabattas, burgers, baps from on-board shop on offer, but I am not sure if Sligo train has dining car |

No it dosen't. It should. It's the second busiest line in Ireland and all IR can offer is a measly trolley. Mk3s we miss you, come back quick.

Sligo train really only offers tea, coffee sandwichs, choc, sweets, more junk food and drink.

Trolley also has beer and other alcoholic drinks if it is on a train without a bar

That reminds me - largely off topic, but was heading into London last week for a champions league game, tight for time so no chance for a beer before the match. We decided to splash out and buy one from the trolley on the Gatwick Express. Per 33cl bottle, we paid the horrendous price of ... £2.70.
