This sounds a bit serious for a train failure, seems to be taking a long time!

Lucky for some! The silence of these folks are deafening. There has been no update for ages. Does it take that long to remove a broken down train?

.... failure by Corporate Communications
Explains most of the problem in Irish Rail

Over 2 hours to sort out a failed train is ridiculous. No reason services could not be maintained Maynooth - Consilla

in all fairness I wouldn't think a service from maynooth to clonsilla would be much use considering most people would be going to or from the City.

But could they not have maintained a limited service with single line running?

Much better bus service into the city from Clonsilla. Most people working in Intel in Leixlip live in Maynooth.

Single line running isn't workable with all the level crossings
