Default [17-04-08] Broken Down Dart at Connolly

At least that's what I think he said as we sat north of Connolly of 5-10 minutes. The train arrived into Pearse at 8.35 instead of 8.21.
Given the amount of people getting on; there obviously had been no Dart for a while.
"On behalf of Iarnrod Eireann I would like to apologise for this delay". Just what the hell does that mean? He might as well say "We're **** and we know we are".

I think it would be more apt to say

"You're **** and we don't care"

I bet these drivers think it makes them sound really professional when they trot it out but the truth is that when someone apologises, you expect them to mean it and alter their behaviour appropriately. We all know that there will be no actions as a result of whatever delay we face so it is a hollow apology. It serves only to infuriate me. I'd rather the driver would come on and state that there's a problem, give a layman's explanation, a projected resolution time and leave it at that.
