Default Train From Wicklow Town

Hello everyone. Quick query for you. I'm moving back to Wicklow for six months, and will have to use the train to get up and down to to connolly.

What is the service like? Do you get a seat at Wicklow? How much is a monthly?

Thanks a million!

Full fare details http://www.railusers.ie/passenger_in...ation_to=CNLLY

2 trains in before 9am, 2 trains back in the evening rush (3 from May)

Last train 18:35

Punctuality in the morning fairly ok, evenings can be dodgy

Might get a seat in the morning, evening unlikely if you board after Connolly, but likely to get a seat before train gets the Bray

Would be faster, cheaper and more flexible to drive to Greystones (huge empty free car park 5 minutes walk from station)

The train leaving Wicklow around 6.45 in the morning tends to be quiet enough and you will get a seat on that. It's a bit of a might and maybe for the 7.30ish train.

The train in the evening is very sardines-in-a-tin.

Parking is getting to be very difficult in Wicklow also, over the past six months or so it's gone a bit mad.

As Mark says you would be a lot better off to get the Dart from Greystones. You're guaranteed parking there and it's a nice car park, about 5 - 10 minutes walk from the station (depending on how fast you walk!).
