Bord na Mona row affecting ESB plants

An industrial relations within Bord na Mona could mean that a
number of ESB plants may run out of peat supplies

According to a report in today's Irish Times, ESB's peat-burning
stations in Lanesboro, Co Longford and Shannonbridge, Co Offaly,
haven't been receiving peat supplies because of a row over company
bonuses within Bord Na Mona

The ESB is said to be monitoring the situation and it is believed
that it currently has enough supplies of milled peat to ensure
that electricity output shouldn't be disrupted.

However, the ESB has had to have peat delivered by truck rather
than train while the dispute has been going onbecause Bord na Mona
train drivers are refusing to deliver further supplies due to the
