Default dart heating

right. it was 1 degree celsius this morning when I left the house. was the heating on on the Dart? Was it f**k!

55 minutes on a freezing cold Dart is no way to start the day - I was starting to feel nostalgic for the Cravens where at least you got a jet of boiling steam emerging from behind the seat to keep you warm. This wasn't even an old Dart - it was one of the new japanese carriages with the electronic map.

So, who controls the carriage heating? Does the driver have to switch it on or is it triggered automatically by thermostat?
