Default [22-12-2006] Dublin Cork delays at Templemore

Quote:
Cork-Heuston delay - debris on line by Corporate Communications

Friday 22 December, 17.30hrs

There is a significant delay to the 15.30hrs Cork-Heuston service at present.

A road traffic accident on a bridge over the line north of Templemore Station caused debris to fall onto the line.

The 15.30hrs Cork to Heuston struck this debris, causing mechanical damage which has stopped the train.

We are endeavouring to rectify the fault, and assess the condition of the bridge, to allow services to resume.

The 16.00hrs Heuston to Cork is also delayed as a result.

Iarnród Éireann apologises for the inconvenience caused.
Note the very precise details given, we had a long argument with IE about the timeliness and accuracy of the delay information

Looks like another Mk4 set has been nuked
