Cool Mum’s the word for Transport Minister

from http://www.irishtrucker.com

Quote:
Transport Minister Martin Cullen is refusing to disclose the estimated cost of re-opening a former major traffic artery in County Sligo.

Last year transport consultants estimated that it would take 366 million euros to complete a three-phased project to re-open rail lines between Ennis and Collooney in the Yeats County.

However Mr. Cullen is refusing to confirm or deny such an estimation even though Fine Gael TD Pat Breen obtained the figure under the Freedom of Information Act.

"These projections reveal that at relatively little capital cost the transport infrastructure in the Mid-West can be developed significantly, and that it will be a resounding economic success," said Mr. Breen.
