Travel Update from Luas Customer Care
Wednesday Night December 1 at 23:00

The Luas Red and Green Lines are expected to operate till 00.30 as per the timetable.

Please note the Green line service is in operation from Sandyford stop to Brides Glen stop only.

There is no Green Line service between St Stephens Green and Sandyford Stop as of now.

On the Red Line Connolly Luas stop is closed - The service is operating fully between The Point stop and Tallaght.

Luas service updates will commence again at 6am tomorrow Thursday December 2nd 2010.

Passengers are advised to check www.transport.ie for transport information and listen to AA Roadwatch and local and national media for Luas service updates.

M3 Parkway/Docklands services are operating to and from Connolly Station this morning. Docklands Station is now closed.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time to arrive at stations due to poor road and footpath conditions.

I suspect its a matter of convenience / practicality. If they leave the points set for The Point, then they can't get stuck in the wrong position.

Those points were troublesome when they were installed for the Docklands extension.

Most Bus Éireann services around the country are operating as per normal with some delays and diversions in affected areas. Bus Éireann will seek to maintain as many services as possible over the coming days subject to road and weather conditions. Bus Éireann will continue to closely monitor weather and road conditions throughout the day. Customers are asked to visit www.transport.ie or www.buseireann.ie or contact their local travel centre for latest information on service changes.

School closures combined with weather and road conditions, particularly on secondary and minor roads, are also likely to result in some disruption to school transport services in affected areas this morning. Bus Éireann local inspectors in consultation with local schools will assess the situation in each area of the country.
