Thumbs down The confusion of the 16:04 maynooth pearse saturday service

The 16:04 maynooth pearse saturday service has been confusing people since the timetable changed last december.

Originally the 16:04 maynooth bray was cut back to pearse when the bray mullingar saturday service was pulled when the timetable changed last december. However the trains have continued to state bray as the destination since then.

There was a suprise couple of weeks ago when the train arrived and pearse was stated as the destination. I thought it might have been resolved. However then came today.

On arrival at clonsilla every single source of information (the internal displays, the external displays , the internal audio system and the front and back destination display ) was stating this train was going to bray .

At castleknock people went up to the driver to asked what the story was and when they got on i heard them say its ideal. The train left and bray remained as the destination.

On arrival at connolly the platform information system stated pearse but when it arrived on the platform i saw people pointing to the side panels. A lot of people got on at connolly.

I walked up to the driver and asked him was he going to bray to which he replied yes. I then asked him was he stopping at blackrock to which he looked at the timetable and then said yes.

After five minutes on the platform he announced the train would terminate at pearse.
and a good few people then got off the train.

The information system on this service is a mess and even the driver seemed to think the train was going to bray. It needs to be sorted.

The fact that the driver didn't know is quite telling, as far as he was concerned he had set the PIS correctly- I would imagine that he was finishing his shift at Connolly and a new driver taking over. It's also disturbing that the internal timetable(presumably) that he had stated Bray as the destination. New heights of confusion in IR.
