Well again the notice says 18:00 but at 18:20 it wasn't there the earlier one was up
They have gone to single line working Thurles Lisduff Excellent useful detail in the notice again, as I said we had words with senior managers about the poor and slow response to making information available it seems to have paid off Its really easy get the passengers off, pull the next Dublin bound Mk4 alongside, open the doors and place the wheelchair ramp across the gap Quote:

More information has come to light
As many will know leaving Templemore Dublin bound there is a sharp right hand bend and there are 3 overbridges over the next 2 miles Train rounded bend and sights the first bridge with only seconds to see the debris. Train was travelling at 85-90mph it it takes about 1400m to stop at that speed. Mk4 set 4004 was involved, damage is serious and will require extensive repair, as aresult it is highly unlikely set 4004 will not be available in time for January 13th for the new timetable, the set was to be withdrawn for a week for suspension modifications in January it was always on edge to be serviceable in time and that was before this incident |

It's lucky that wasn't far worse than slight damage to the undercarriage of the train.
That accident could have been very nasty indeed. |
