![]() Has anyone seen the article in todays Irish Times on a routing being proposed and lobbied for by businesses and local land owners? The route is the same as the central route as far as Drumcondra but it diverges after that and takes a route which is to the west of the current central route.
Apparently the people involved have commisioned a report which gives reasons why this route is better and cheaper and have been lobbying the RPA to consider this route. Since these people have a vested interested (and lets be honest - consultants will say whatever the people who are paying for the report want to hear), is there actually any value to their proposed routing? Also, should we be worried that the RPA might consider this to the possible detriment of the general public? Or is this just one of many submissions from local landowners who want the value of their land to increase and the Irish Times just happened to pick up on this particular one? |

![]() I didnt post this in the members area but you know once CityWest got the nod for a spur form the LUAS it was only a matter of time before others took up the idea. What will we see, perhaps a spur...... and a lovely long delay.....
