Just looked at the Rosslare timetable and the 16:40 Connolly/Gorey does serve Bray. It takes from Pearse 16:46 to Bray direct 17:25 I can see this train just crawling the whole way. If the new trains are starting in Arpil(Easter) then why does the timetable say valid from 09'Dec'07 to Dec'08 surely the new trains will not travel to Maynooth and arrive back for the 18:37 service as with the Drogheda-Rosslare service. I thought they travel from Rosslare to Dublin and terminate there. If this is the case then I feel the Sligo new intercity trains should serve Bray and not to Connoly its the same principle..........

The Sligo timetable what an improvement, 07:05 right through till 19:05 every two hours. I like the way the times are the same right through the day example Carrick on shannon every 2hrs to Dublin 07:44,09:44,11:44 this is perfect and easy to remember. The route even has the 22000 trains as the main picture on the booklet. When the Rosslare route finally does get the new trains will there be a main booklet picture and I know there will be 5 daily trains each way so will it be like the Sligo times in the same form.(Example) 13:30, 16:30, 19:30...

As for the Sligo times this is what will happen on all routes post 22k intoduction except we expect Belfast to go hourly. This is simply an efficent managment of the available stock, unlike now. It also means proper planned and reliable connections onto the Limerick - Rosslare end and also to places like Kerry. Problem is that this sort of thing should have been started about 5 years sooner. I just had to say that, didnt I? |

The new Rosslare timetable has a picture of a 29000 at the Docklands station.
IE are obviously trying to shown off the new shiny seats there. |

What has the Docklands got to do with the Rosslare line?
The new book-timetable of all the routes for 2008 has a really nice front page design well done on that score. |
