Revenue Protection Unit
The Revenue protection unit were camped out in Carlow station last night, and again for the 07:24 this morning.
Checking tickets and counting passenger numbers. Not something I've seen before. (in carlow) kevin |

I saw a rake of clipboard-wielders at the DART stations on the southside yesterday.

I know they can stop you boarding a train but do they rules allow them to prevent you from leaving the station? |

If they ask you for a ticket and you don't/can't/won't show it/give it up, and won't give and prove your name and address, they are permitted to detain you until the GardaĆ* arrive. But that's the only circumstance.
