The 17.05 connolly-sligo and 17.15 connolly longford are still at connolly. Problems at Drumcondra?

Given the 16:42 headed the quick way I thought there where problems, but nothing on the IE site, nothing AA and nothing on the board in Pearse currently.
The Gorey train is 20 minutes late, so there is a problem, given DART's are moving I'd assume the issue is either Glasnevin Junction or North Strand The 17:05 and 17:15 can't use the Midland line since it can only be accessed from platform 7, so unless they want to do a fairly crazy shunting move |

Mark, how is it that a points failure that affects just howth junction-howth get a posting on the irish rail website alongwith announcements pis info etc and a points failure that affects gorey-sligo-longford-maynooth services doesn't even warrant a mention.
At platform 7 the platform information screen displayed "1 calling at all stations to Maynooth EXCEPT Drumcondra" for the 16.42 for and there was an announcement to say the same there was no apologies (for drumcondra passengers- there were some, people did get off the train when the announcement was made) and no explanation as to what was going on. was there an explanation for the Delay to the Gorey one? I didn't hear one. At the main connolly station People hadn't a clue what was going on with the 17.05 and 17.15 no announcements were being made. Staff hadn't got much information to go by. It seems to be happening alot that problems on commuter lines (not just maynooth) are not being reported (anywhere) but DART travel alerts are going up no problem when there are for example points failures. Pretty shoddy in my view Last edited by ThomasJ : 24-07-2007 at 00:41. |

The vast majority of delays are not listed online, this mornings delays where not for instance, nor where the Maynooth line problems last night
Of course its not really a coincidence that the Howth branch issue appeared online, a senior IE manager was most likely badly delayed last night owing to it. Last edited by Mark Gleeson : 24-07-2007 at 08:52. |
