Iarnród Éireann is delighted to support the traditional Easter Festival at Mallow this year from Saturday 30th March to Wednesday 3rd April 2013.

Customers travelling from Cork, Limerick, Tralee or Killarney to Mallow over the easter weekend can book now and avail of our fantastic day return fares. Adult day return fares from Limerick, Tralee or Killarney to Mallow for just €15.

A three day racing ticket can be pre-purchased from Cork Racecourse Mallow for the special price of €30 by calling +353 (0)22-50207.

This is the 4th year of the “Racing Home for Easter Festival” and promises 3 great days of racing, top class street entertainment, great value accommodation, 10km cycle, guided walks, face painting and lots more. This event will be a three day food, arts and sporting festival highlighting all the Blackwater Valley region has to offer.

An Iarnród Éireann spokesperson said “as part of the community of Mallow, we hope that this event will build success and momentum over the coming years. This is a great initiative to encourage domestic as well as inward tourism to the Mallow region.”

LUAS RED LINE - TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SELECTED STOPS OVER EASTER WEEKEND

Luas Red Line Stops from Saggart and Tallaght to Red Cow will be closed from Friday March 29th to Monday April 1st inclusive (Easter Bank Holiday weekend). Alternative bus transport will be provided from the affected Stops to Red Cow. You must have a valid Luas ticket to use the Luas Bus service. The rest of the Luas Red Line will operate as normal. This temporary closure is necessary to facilitate the instalment of a canopy at Belgard Stop.

To facilitate the Easter Parade at the GPO on Easter Sunday Morning, the Garda* have requested that we close the Abbey Street Luas stop for the period of the event between the hours of 11am and 2pm. The Red Line will operate a full service serving all other stops. Abbey Street Luas stop will reopen after the parade has ended.Additional staff will be on hand at the Abbey Street stop to assist passengers and the Gardai who will be coordinating tram movements at the O’Connell street junction.

Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers of the following Easter arrangements.


Friday 29th March 2013

A normal weekday service will operate on all routes with the exception of the routes listed below:
There will be no service on routes 25x, 27x, 32x, 33d, 33x, 41x, 46e, 51d, 51x, 66x, 67x, 69x, 77x, 116 and 118.

There will be a revised service on Route 84x, the 10:30 and 13:30 from Newcastle and the 12:00 and 15:50 departures from Trinity College will not operate.

There will be a revised service on Route 84, the 17:30 from Newcastle will not operate.

The Nitelink service will not operate.


Saturday 30th March 2013

There will be a normal Saturday service and a normal Saturday Nitelink service.


Sunday 31st March

There will be a normal Sunday service and there will be no Nitelink service.

Please see below for diversions due to Easter Parade.


Monday 1st April 2013

There will be a normal Sunday service and no Nitelink service.


Easter Parade Diversions

Northbound services from first bus until 15:00hrs.

Normal route to O’Connell Bridge, then right onto Eden Quay, left into Beresford Place, Gardiner St., left onto Parnell St., Parnell Sq. West and back on to normal route.

Southbound services from first bus until 15:00hrs.
Normal route to Parnell Square East, left to Parnell St., right onto Marlborough St., right onto Eden Quay, left onto O’Connell St. Bridge and back on to normal route.

Route 123 Northbound from first bus until 15:00hrs.
Normal route to O’Connell Bridge, then right onto Eden Quay, left into Beresford Place, Gardiner St., left onto Sean McDermott St., right onto Cumberland St. right onto Parnell St. and back onto normal route.

Route 123 Southbound from first bus until 15:00hrs.
Normal route to Sean McDermott St., left onto Marlborough St., right to Eden Quay, left onto O’Connell St. Bridge and back on to normal route.


Sightseeing Tours from first bus until 15:00hrs.

From the City Centre
Sean McDermott St., Marlborough St., right to Eden Quay, left onto O’Connell St. Bridge and back on to normal route.

Towards the City Centre
From Bachelor’s Walk (stop 21) Eden Quay, left onto Marlborough St., right onto Abbey St., Gardiner St., left onto Sean McDermott St. and terminate at Larkin College.

Routes 29a, 31/a/b, 32, 33, 41/b/c and 130 from 10:00hrs to 14:00hrs.
Due to the parking of Army vehicles on Abbey Street, all Abbey St. routes divert via Marlborough St. to Eden Quay as follows:

Route 130 to bus stop number 297 (code EK) Eden Quay.
Route 29a to bus stop number 298 (code EJ) Eden Quay.
Routes 31/a/b & 32 to bus stop number 299 (code EH) Eden Quay.
Routes 41/b/c & 33 to bus stop number 300 (code EG) Eden Quay.

Sunday 31st March

Due to essential engineering works there will be no train service between Dalkey and Bray on Sunday 31st March. During these works, Killiney and Shankill DART stations will be closed.

Service Arrangements;

A regular DART service with minor alterations will operate fromMalahide/Howth to Dalkey and between Bray/Greystones
Rosslare services will operate to/from Bray with a direct bus service between Connolly/Bray and Dún Laoghaire/Bray
