Maynooth line tuesday
Anyone lucky enough to be getting a train this morning on the maynooth line after 8? Something happened to one of the early longford that caused problems. When i got to coolmine there was announcement of appologies for delays was alot of passengers about 300 the 8.24 came packed more than 200 left behind there was no announcement for 25 minutes the train came at 8.55 in connolly at 9.10 not my day

I should add that my train the 4.43 from connolly didnt arrive untill 5.07 really not my day! Im really furious that there was no info on this anywhere. Just the usual apologies announcement when we got off at connolly

Yes I was in Broombridge for the supposed 8:43 train to Connolly, an announcement was made saying that the train would be delayed by 40 minutes due to "operational" difficulties Ran round the corner to get the 120 to town

There was an empty train stuck outside of Maynooth station ( about 1km away ) at 845, it must be related.

The 06.20 Longford-Pearse took over an hour to complete the Edgeworthstown to Mullingar section and arrived at Connolly approximately 50 minutes late.
An announcement was made but it was inaudible. Didn't know who to feel more sorry for - myself sitting for an hour going nowhere in the inhospitable surroundings of a 29000 - or the hundred odd passengers who were visibly frozen after standing for an hour on the Mullingar platform... Winter has obviously come around early on the Sligo line this year. |
