![]() Irish Rail have notices to the effect that Maynooth services are 15 minutes late. I'm on the 0545 Sligo intercity which is stopping everywhere from Clonsilla inwards. We also passed a stopped train at Clonsilla which is unusual so there may be other problems as well.
We're just leaving Broombridge at 0902 so I would expect to be around 25 minutes late at Connolly. |

![]() The driver announced at Connolly that the delay had been caused by 'points failure' in the Clonsilla area.

![]() I was on the 6.40 Maynooth to Connolly and had the same delay.
Driver informed us after a few mins waiting outside Clonsilla about points failure and apologies numerous times to Connolly. We also stopped on westbound platform in Clonsilla while a Docklands bound train pulled into the normal platform for eastbound trains. |

![]() Given the disruption that the new line has imposed on existing services both with points problems and with the earlier signalling issues, it would be interesting to see the passenger numbers for the Dunboyne line.
I was on the 1805 to Longford last night which was 22k operated and absolutely packed to the rafters in the front car. It operated to its usual schedule over the last 2 months in that it was about 15 minutes late at Edgeworthstown. For about 2 months now this train arrives in Edgeworthstown pretty predicatable at about 1950. |
