6.40 Maynooth to Connolly was extended to Pearse and arrived at 8.40

We sat just outside Louisa Bridge for 70mins.

The driver must have known the train had issues ahead should have stopped at Louisa Bridge at let people out to get the bus or maybe he could have reversed back into the station.

Lucky I had a book to read

thanks ie for informing us in advance of the cancellation of the 09:05 clonsilla connolly (roll eyes)

I had the golden opportunity to get a direct bus to town and i turned it down for this! What a fool was i!

Had common sense prevailed they would have deferred the 08:40 by 5 or 10 minutes

Thumbs down

the one time i take a train to work and this happens. I wont be doing this again i am fuming at the lack of notice.

You would have thought that with the lack of platform displays or darttxt or real time information they have on the DART or northern line the least they could have done for maynooth line passengers is tell them of the cancellations!

I ran up the stairs in Drumcondra station only to discover that my train was not early, as I had cursed it, but late.

Of course, the front display panel still said Ballyhaunis but you know, you cannot have everything.

Same here. Although it was a nice 20 minute sit in the sun waiting for the next train!

All the southbound Northern suburban services suffered delays on 15 mins around 8.30am. No reason given, but I assume it was linked to this, somehow.
