1835 Heuston - Waterford now serving Kildare?
According to the printed route timetable leaflet the first stop on this journey is at Athy (with no stop scheduled at Kildare)
However this evening's service stopped at Kildare. Is this a timetable change? |

Thanks Mark, was curious about it. Later, after I posted, I thought maybe the reason was to allow passengers from another line make the connection into the last Waterford-bound train of the day.

They have done this several times that I have noticed over the past year, random stops at stations not on the timetable for no announced reason.

That's interesting, Kilkea, wonder what the reason behind it is. Perhaps to facilitate passengers arriving on the 1630 ex Cork (due Kildare 1847).

or perhaps, like on Monday last, when the 1805 to Portlaoise failed, it was facilitating transfers from a failed service?
