[27-3-2006] Kildare & Newbridge Timetable Changes
Today marked the day of Note A, that is to say the new early morning Waterford service began
Side effect of this for Kildare and Newbridge should be 1) The 5:30 ex Cork no longer stops Kildare or Newbridge 2) The 5:05 ex Waterford train stops Kildare 7:54 & Newbridge 8:01 3) There should be more seats for all as a result 4) The 5:30 ex Cork should actually arrive Heuston at 8:30 Last edited by Mark Gleeson : 27-03-2006 at 13:54. |

What do you expect the morning after a public meeting with Irish Rail is always pants , eg last Friday
The new Waterford train hasn't been without its troubles. The problem in Kildare and Newbridge is the inability to recognise which train is which as many will say the train from x was delayed when in fact it wasn't that train The signalling from Clondalkin to Cherryville is to be replaced as part of the Kildare route project I am aware that the Waterford train was heavily delayed yesterday arrving at 9:05 |

Many in Kildare thought the Waterford train was late earlier in the week but it would appear it was a train from Portlaois on time that showed up before. Yes Waterford train late but the train that showed up was itself on time

OK, so in a busy through-station like Kildare, WHY don't station staff announce that the next train arriving on Platform 'X' is the 06:40 or whatever from Waterford, or wherever. Surely THEY must know what trains are (supposed to be) running through their cute little station?
