1700 Cork 29/12/11
Looks like the 1700 Heuston to Cork has been cancelled with passengers being transferred onto the 1705 Tralee service. My informant suggested he thought the 1700 was being cancelled due to a lack of passengers but I thing a locomotive or train problem is the more likely.
Same informant travelled on 1100 from Waterford which would appear to have been fairly full with numerous disputes over supposedly reserved seats. Apparently the seating reservations were not displayed on the train which was formed of a 3-car ICR. |

17:00-Cork service is always packed and so is the 17:05-Tralee. More than likely they will have to get another set.

I arrived on the 1430 ex-Cork at 1709, into Platform 7, which suggests there may have been issues with the set still at Platform 5.

Last time I travelled on the 1700 (Friday 16/12) there were around 240 passengers leaving Heuston. The 1705 to Tralee on the same date passed Limerick Junction with about 120 passengers.
