Usual PR tripe
Folks in Clondalkin already had a station, admittedly a horrible one. It already is served by 25 trains a day No mention of real customer service facts, such as the station being staffed, having full accessibility, electronic information displays and so on

Is the name Clondalkin Fonthill a temp name? Why call it that? Its been on the T21 map as Clondalkin since the start.
RPA call it Clondalkin because they have a planned MW stop called Fonthill. Why do their idiots not just talk FFS. Last edited by Mark : 14-10-2008 at 09:33. |

Fonthill would be a bad name as Fonthill House is north of the N4 at Liffey Valley and Fonthill Road is 5km long from the N4 to N7 at Newlands Cross. The Clondalkin bit retains the Clondalkin heritage while Fonthill specifies it isn't the old Clondalkin, while telling you what road its on. Stops on the KRP are quite widely spaced, so there is the potential for in between stations, we might have Clondalkin Cloverhill in 20 years time.
