air con on westport trains
Why is it the air con on Dublin / Westport trains are set so it is either too cold or too warm?
On making a request to train staff for adjustment to the air con - told it was not possible to make any on train adjustment as it is 'centrally controlled'? Is this correct? |

I've always found the AC on the ICR's to be set too cold, that said it beats the Mk2 and Mk3 hands down
The crew don't have access to the thermostat directly, they have access to a switch which turns either this coach or all coaches AC off. Setting the thermostat its a maintenace issue. The Dublin Cork fleet, there is a limited manual coach by coach override of selector knob of -2, -1 0 +1 +2 in the coach control panel If a coach is too warm its likely its lost its engine and is on limited power and can't kept both AC units running
