Default Galway-Limerick-Waterford-Rosslare 2010

The 2010 timetable shows the Galway-Limerick train times, which give OK connections to Cork and Tralee, but a very poor service between Limerick, Waterford and Rosslare. The first train from Galway arrives 45 minutes after the first possible connection to Waterford. The second train can connect but takes 7 hours 20 minutes to get to Waterford, and just under 9 hours to Rosslare. The third train arrives 13 minutes after a departure with a connection to Waterford and Rosslare. The fourth train of the day can get you to Waterford in 6 hours. The fifth train has no onward connection at Limerick. In reverse, the first train from Waterford to Limerick Junction is OK, but the first train from Rosslare takes 13 hours to get from Rosslare to Galway because of a 4 hour wait in Waterford and a2 1/2 hour wait in Limerick.

Transport 21 has funded the Galway-Limerick connection, but it seems the line is to operate in isolation from others. A strange way to try to recoup costs and encourage public transport.

Its the class Irish Rail mess, it would be cheaper to run an integrated service.

We are in communication with a number of people in the Waterford area and hope to meet with a senior local politician

As you will see what are already on the game given the title of this forum. The connections are crazy, you should be able to go from Rosslare to Waterford without a change
