The platform notice had Belfast Central instead of Sligo.

Train had Sligo

One traveller looked rightly confused as he didn't know to go to platform 2 or platform 3 (17.15 Connolly - Longford was there).

I was on the 9:05 AM Connolly-Sligo yesterday (Wed, Jan 27th) and it was a 29k I thought the line was all 22k now? And of course, when the train came into the platform it said "Castleconell" so only the departures board was correct ... no surprises there.

Incidentally, what's going on with the line around Enfield? I saw lots of men in orange hi-vis vests at the lineside and I think (not always possible to tell with the newer trains) that the line was jointed.

This is an utter disgrace. How can you have those 29ks on an InterCity journey is beyond me. Certainly not fit for purpose and false advertising. A passenger intending to travel from Dublin to Sligo would expect an InterCity train. Is that too much to ask?

Still a shortage of 22ks? Come on Irish Rail, get your act together and give InterCity passengers InterCity trains for EVERY service Monday to Sunday please.

If they were re-laying track they might have laid new sleepers with some temporary jointed track to be followed later with CWR.

Am I right in thinking that there is a 6-car set not available due to the derailment in Portaloise? Hence there is a shortage of 22000s on the network?

There was a problem even before the Portlaoise incident
