Given that IE claim their policy regarding delays meets with international standards, its a pity they wouldn't follow the lead of other countries regarding refunds.
Transport for London gives
refunds for delays of over 15 minutes for the tube, or 30 minutes on London overground. Includes a clearly detailed refund form online, and the refunds section is easily and logically accessible in two clicks from the main page.
Contrast that with the Irish Rail front page, the only way of accessing any refund information is thruogh the FAQ menu item on the top right, then scrolling down to refunds, and even that just directs you to the passengers charter. Bit farcical when you see how it can be done properly.
