![]() I'm thinking of booking a ticket online on behalf of my son. From what I've read on the Irish Rail website he should be able to collect the ticket from a TVM with just the booking reference number. Before I make the booking I just want to double-check that he won't also need the credit card (for verification purposes) which I plan to use to pay for the ticket (as I won't be with him when he's travelling). The option to collect the ticket at the booking office doesn't seem to be of any use in his case, as he doesn't have a passport or driving licence.

![]() You can collect with just the reference number
Tickets can be collected from any ticket machine, at any station regardless of the one you select at the time of booking
