![]() Both validators(the pole type) were broken at Clonsilla around 1930 tonight, so I(and some others) couldn't tag-off my Irish Rail Short Hop Smartcard(not Leap) having tagged-on earlier at Pearse. Am I entitled to a refund now that a full fare has been deducted for not tagging-off? If so, who do I contact?
On a related note, can anything be done to ensure the validators work more often? Over the past few months one validator has been out of order very often so you have to go to the other platform to tag-on or -off, though today was the first time I've observed both out of action. |

![]() I see no reason why you would be refused when you were trying to use the validators but couldn't for no reason of you own.

![]() Give them a call in the morning and odds are you will have the refund appear when you tag on Thursday evening
