Default Bus Éireann - delays, but fewer cancellations

http://www.buseireann.ie/news.php?id=924&month=Dec
Quote:
7 December 2010

Update 17.00

Most Bus Éireann services around the country are operating as per normal with some delays and diversions in affected areas.

The main commuter routes in the east and north east are operating this morning with some delays and diversions.

Bus Éireann will seek to maintain as many services as possible over the coming days, particularly commuter services, subject to road and weather conditions. Bus Éireann will continue to closely monitor weather and road conditions throughout the day. Customers are asked to visit www.transport.ie or www.buseireann.ie or contact their local travel centre for latest information on service changes.

School closures combined with weather and road conditions, particularly on secondary and minor roads, are also likely to result in some disruption to school transport services in affected areas this morning. There were 20-25 delays to all southbound Drogheda originating services this morning, and 20 minute delays to all northbound DART and Drogheda bound services this evening. No announcements about the delays at any of the stations I was in, or on any of the suburban trains I was on.
Poor information seems to be the biggest impact for those using the Northern suburban line
