Update on Service Disruption due to Strike Action

Bus Eireann wishes to advise customers that the vast majority of services are not operating due to industrial action.

The following services only are currently operating


Expressway Inter-city

Route 1
Dublin-Belfast No Bus Éireann services operating. Translink services are operating. Translink services are at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 18:00, 19:00, 20:00, 21:00 and 22:00 EX Dublin. Services Ex Dublin will operate from Custom House Quay.

Route 30
1500 Donegal-Dublin will operate
1700 Donegal-Dublin will operate
2100 Dublin-Donegal will operate

Route 33
Dublin-Derry no Bus Éireann services operating. Translink services are operating. Translink services are at 10:00, 13:00, 17:300 and 22:00. Services from Dublin will operate from Custom House Quay.

GOBE – Dublin Airport-Cork
All services expected to operate with services operating from Dublin city centre will pick up at Georges Quay in Dublin and Merchants Quay in Cork.

Dublin Bus wishes to advise customers that services are operating normally today (Sunday 12th May) and are not affected by the industrial action at Bus Éireann. Dublin Bus is not a party to this dispute.

Notice regarding expected Industrial Action by Bus Éireann employees

All GoBe services will continue to operate as normal, however customers should be aware of minor changes to pick up and drop off locations in Cork City and Dublin City.

From Cork: Services will operate from Merchants Quay.

Customers alighting in Dublin City can do so at Custom House Quay.

From Dublin City: Services to Cork will pick up at Georges Quay (GoBus Stop) beside Ulster Bank.

There is no change to pick up or drop off at Dublin Airport. Services will continue to serve the coach park.

GoBe hopes these changes will not inconvience customers too much.

Bus Éireann Statement on School Transport Services

Bus Éireann anticipates that School Transport Services will operate as normal tomorrow (Monday, May 13th, 2013).

Parents/guardians are advised to check www.buseireann.ie and national and local media in the event that there is any change to this.

Approximately 2,500 School Transport ticket holders out of the 114,000 School Transport ticket holders use public transport services to travel to and from school and they may be affected by any disruption to public transport services on May 13th 2013 as a result of potential industrial action. Again, parents/guardians are advised to check www.buseireann.ie and national and local media for information on any disruption to such public transport services.

Bus Éireann would like to advise customers that the industrial action is suspended for 48 hours. Bus Éireann will seek to operate as many services as possible from the morning of Tuesday the 14th of May 2013. All commuter services in the Greater Dublin area are operating. All inter-city services from Dublin are operating. All services in the North-West and South-West operating normally.

Services in other regions are due to begin service shortly and we will update www.buseireann.ie when details of these services are available.

All School Transport Services are operating normally.

Bus Éireann would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to customers over the last two days.
