[Chistmas Period] 07:58 Maynooth Bray
In another further example of Irish Rail ignoring the real needs of modern lifestyles and work patterns this mornings (24-12-2008) 07:58 Maynooth Bray was sent out only half the usual length with 4 cars.
Ignoring the fact that hundreds of people in retail and finance are on a normal working day. The train of course was jammed by Coolmine. Seasons greetings, Irish Rail style. Last edited by Mark Hennessy : 30-12-2008 at 09:43. Reason: Updating details |

At clonsilla a sign up saying Quote:

The 17:15 Connolly Longford ran as the normal full length train.
No use to all those left behind this morning. |

It is a normal working day today and a lot of people are back in work.
However, if you are an Irish Rail manager, then every day is Christmas. The busiest Maynooth train (07:58 to Bray) again ran as only 4 carriages long. It was full before Coolmine and was rammed leaving that station. Once again, no one in the station knows who is in charge when I asked about it but it isn't any of the staff on the gounds fault that the managers have no clue about people actually having to go into work over Christmas. Lots of people on the city bound platform in Coolmine waiting for later services after that, there were no signs up anywhere on the platform informing them that would have to wait 1 hour before the next train. EDIT: It turns out that no customer attempting to board at Ashtown was able to get on the train. Last edited by Mark Hennessy : 30-12-2008 at 09:41. |

Reports today suggest that this train is running the normal length and no customers have been left behind today trying to get to work.
